4th of July Party!

I'm just posting this to let everyone know a little early that we are having a BIG party on the 4th of July. Plan ahead and come to our party and invite everyone you know. THE CRAVING will be playing and we will supply homemade rootbeer and watermelon. Everyone needs to bring their own picnic dinner and fireworks to share. Contributions for the band would be greatly appreciated. Dinner will be whenever you show up, preferrably around 6:30, band will start around 8:00 and fireworks will be when it gets dark. This is a fairly tentative schedule, but we wanted everyone to be able to start planning. Oh, and it will be at the pavilion at my church, I will post address later. Hope to see you all there.

I survived Girl's camp!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did indeed survive Young Women's Camp. Most of you know that I have been a basket case since I accepted the call to be Camp Director, but I can honestly say that once I got up there, I had a very fun time. Without the worry of children, camping can actually be quite fun I discovered. I loved getting to know the girls and the leaders and it made me think back to the times when I went to camp and how much I loved it. I sure didn't understand the hard work my leaders put into making camp a fun, good experience, but I do now. I feel like since I accomplished that, that I could pretty much do anything (as long as I have the help of a little anti-anxiety medication). I guess the Bishop really did know what he was doing when he asked me to do this.
